On 8th November 2009, early flight to Hanoi, it was really not a good ride! Slept at 12am and woke up at 3am! Not even touch down the Vietnamese land and we felt tired and sluggish. Once we reached the town…

The streets were crowded with cars, but those were far outnumbered by motorscooters and bicycles. About a tenth of the scooters and bicycles had conical kumquat trees strapped onto their carriers.
All of Hanoi’s 4 million people who weren’t on bikes or cars apparently were rummaging through various markets in search of gifts and decorations.

I’m not sure what you called this - slipper stall with wheels?! But I found them every corner of the town!

After we had our first lunch near by our hotels, I and Joe decided to walk around the lake area hope to capture some nice photos since both of us carried DSLR. And I released most of the men sitting around the lake and you find women more hard working.

These two women cycled while chitchatting…. Cool! And I had a source from the tour guy that Vietnam women work harder than the men! I think it could be the culture. In my opinion, the impression that Vietnam is still a hell hole of communist isolation without commerce.

Found another woman carried goods (easily more than 5 kg) walking along the train track. The track actually located middle of the town.

This was very common in Hanoi.

I wonder it was a helmet or Hell-met? It was fashion for them but not safety. I think my mountain bike’s helmet is better than theirs.

Day 3 we went to this unique theater in Hanoi - Thanglong water puppet. There were a few scenes that were cute or made me chuckle, but overall it was pretty boring. Coz I saw some of the audience fall asleep. Perhaps, you could find video from Youtube.

During the entire trip, I took quite number of photos; some of it has posted in Creadaq.com. And I found out some of it was my “part time model” Joe Seah.

At least, we visited Ba Dinh Square, where silent sentries guard the marble and Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum where Ho Chi Chi lies in state.

We spent 4 days, it was amazing not about the local food or places we’d visited, it was the weather, before that it was flood and People said it was the worst flood in Hanoi since 1971 - read news; But during our trip, it was blue sky and sunshine which we managed to walk almost every corner of Hanoi.
